My first Internet Marketing Seminar - The Experience & The Aftermath
By Ross Goldberg | February 19, 2007
I’m sitting here (waking up) and contemplating all that I’ve learned and done over this weekend. I’m in Orlando at JV Alert and have experienced (in my eyes) the most important business building event of my life.
I shook hands and talked to:
Willie Crawford
Frank Souza
Sterling Valentine
Ben Mack
Liz Tomie
Doug and Terry Champigny
Xavier Nelson
Mike Filsaime
Keith Wellman
Buck (from pipeline)
John Reese
Niche Professor
Harris Fellman
Robert Puddy
Jeff Wark & Lori Steffen
Jason James
and many others.
While talking with gurus and big dogs was amazing, I have to tell you something very simple. They were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I met some of these people after they were bombarded by 50 others hoping for a Joint Venture and they treated me like I was the first person they’d met. My opinion of at least half of the people above have totally changed (for the better).
On the internet, we see the success of the “big dogs” and assume that they are rude or untouchable. That simply isn’t the case.
I’ve tumbled into new projects with half of the people above and many more with people that you’ve never even heard of. This is the heart of a seminar. The networking opportunity I was given here was simply priceless. I’ve just started getting emails from many of the people I met and it looks like I’ll have trouble keeping up with it all!
I’ve got new angles and ideas for all of my existing projects and will be working on retooling every one. I learned something very simple at JV alert - most of us are leaving a huge amount of money on the table. If you have a inexpensive Ebook, you need to create a complimentary backend product that you can sell to people that purchase it. Every guru discussed it. You simply MUST have a backend product.
I sat down with Robert Puddy for awhile and discussed his perspective on seminars and the fact that everyone should be going to them. I had been on the fence until this event and must tell you something very simple - HE WAS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!
I won’t be running the circuit any time soon, I have too many kids! I will be in Dallas in March and Philly in June. If you truly want to take your business to the next level, you should be too!
I’d love to hear comments and opinions on this.

I’m a really frustated newbie that really needs your help! I am in a really difficult situation and it’s time sensitive. I’m currently in the Philippines waiting for the interview date of my wife’s visa. I’ve been reading up on affiliate marketing and trying hard to monetize my blog (Already removed my AdSense…
I’m running dangerously out of budget and have a 9 month old daughter. We need to buy tickets to return to the USA by the 1st week of May. I’m all ears, have 24 hrs a day to work (since I don’t have a job here in the Phils) I need to figure out a way of earning at least $1800 within the next 4 to 5 weeks. EMERGENCY!!! Please e-mail me…. Just incase your interested, I’m willing to translate your sites to Spanish. (I’ve been a substitute teacher since 1994) I’ve also been a chauffeur to the rich and famous in Dallas, where you just had your seminar, and co-incidentally, where I live. I’m hoping you’ll take some time to e-mail me.

I’m sorry Juan, but there isn’t much I can do for you at this point. I have a group coaching program and a 1 on 1 coaching program. These people are paying for my time and I have my own products to create.
I simply don’t have the time.
Look through your things and see what you can do without. That may help.
