My Dad just had Major Cancer Surgery – So, I’m Having a Firesale!

He went through a rigorous routine of Chemotherapy and radiation in an attempt to shrink his tumors enough for the surgery that would save his life. After all kinds of complications from the treatments, my Dad went in to be checked to see what the next step would be. The tumors were nearly gone! My Dad was able to go in for surgery!

My Dad had his surgery on 5/9/2007 and came through with only a minor complication. They nicked his lung while putting a piece of his stomach where his Esophagus used to be. Otherwise, he was in pretty good shape considering the 8 hours of surgery he had to endure.

My Dad’s illness has had a major impact on my family. Being that he is such a hard worker, my Mom came to expect his paycheck to come in. Her disability isn’t enough to cover their rent.
