I once suggested you make a tweak to an ebook you were selling, which would help both of us, and bam! it was done in minutes and I saw traffic from it within days. Ross, just watched your video and figured I would comment. I have two opposing things to mention. First the positive. The conversations we had about IM outside the offices at StomperNet really had a positive impact on me. I never actually told you but I had an idea for a wordpress plugin during those conversations, but I never thought I could sell anything that was of a major use to people looking to earn money on the net. After all the different stories you told me about what you did, I finally realized that anyone can pretty much do this stuff. So I now have my wordpress plugin developed and I’m putting the finishing touches on it at the moment.
I’m pretty sure people are going to want a plugin that matches affiliate offers to exactly what the people reading your blog want, but I still have to prove it. regardless of whether a soul picks up my plugin or not this was still a great use of time since I have a really cool plugin that I’m using on my sites to put extra cash in my coffers.
Now one bad thing. We talked about syndicating content from a news service on one of my sites. You thought it would be a good idea. It wasn’t, not so much because of the syndicated duplicate content, just the people who where writing it had no clue how to write for the web and SEO so nothing ranked and I was spending 500 bucks a month for digital crap. I wound up killing that off and starting back writing my own content. Good thing is nothing was really hurt I just wasted some time.
Anyway, I did not post this to win your prizes, just to let you know. Of course you could always mail for me and that would not hurt my feelings a bit

I don’t specifically remember the situation you refer to. What I do know is that there are tons of ways to “autoblog” and it sounds like you found a bad one.

I believe that you are one of a few product developers
that actually cares about his customers. You proved that to me almost 2 years ago when I made a down-payment on your IMR and your IMR video series and then YOU GAVE me the product when I told you I could not afford to pay anymore at the time! You didn’t know me from Adam but I NEVER FORGOT THAT, Ross!
I went ahead and watched the videos and thru trial and error, learned to use IMR….wow, what a trip!
Until that time, all I had EVER done was send ads thru safelists and solo ad sites….you opened up another world of marketing to me and a few of my associates actually hired me to post some of their videos, articles, podcasts, etc. AND THEY EVEN PAID ME GOOD MONEY TO DO IT, opening up another stream of revenue! I also sold a few IMRs which was great income. I ran ads for quite a while for IMR with the subject line, “NOT Making ANY Money With YOUR Old School Advertising?”
I did a press release thru the Free Press Release site about a program that I was promoting (still am) about Ron Walsh and EZ Wealth Solution. Much to my surprise, that press release was on the FIRST PAGE of Google for almost a year and still appears occasionally on first or second page. Completely BLEW my mind, Ross!
I haven’t been working online much in the last year (as I wrote you about in an email when I double-registered for Traffic Magnet….duh!…..but I am back now and saving my money so I can grab a subscription to Traffic Magnet.) And I have NO doubt that I will make plenty of moohlah simply by firing up
good ol’ IMR and doing some posts!
I could go on and on but I need to get to work so I can grab Traffic Magnet….God bless you and your family, Ross. You are THE marketer that actually cares

I round Ross though watching the “3 sides of traffic” seminar on video with my business partner. I was impressed by Ross’ enthusiasm for Internet marketing and grateful to begin using his “Spinning Wizard” software that spins via sentence, something that none of the competitive leading brands do well, if at all. I follow open every email that Ross sends, knowing there will be nuggets of gold hidden inside.
Ross, Before I canceled my membership at stompernet after only about a month, you were one of the only ones who took part in helping in the forum, you lived up to your end of the bargain. Before I left I was able to get your Incubator SEO Guide which I still reference to this day, every piece of information in that guide is great and has helped me with questions I have had while building numerous sites. We didn’t have a clue. (Still lots to learn)
We were total strangers to you, and we reached out to you for help on Twitter. You gave us an interview on the phone which we recorded, plus a whole lot of information about how to get traffic that allowed us to move forward.
When we had the project nearly ready to launch we contacted you again to look over our site.
You told us something we didn’t want to know but needed to.
You said “Your website is crap!” (Man of many words)
But you did more than that. You gave us the solution, the name of a graphic designer who made us a nice website, and for the right price. This was something we had been unable to find anywhere because everyone else was keeping their graphics people as their biggest kept secret.
You told us the truth!
When we launched and very little happened, you encouraged us and told us “If you get enough traffic, it will sell.” And it did
You did all this because as much as you come across as a hard as nails ex-gangster, you actually care and want to help people.
It’s just what you do.

Because you asked…..By the way, I think this is really brave of you and I really appreciate your desire to get better by learning what your customers think.
Let me give you both a positive and a negative. First the negative. I previously purchased your automator product. The first version wasn’t quite right, then the second version came out, which was subsequently replaced by the third version. On your third version, you were charging us again to be able access the product that I felt should have had some shelf life and worked. So, while your third product might be better, I think it should have been given to your earlier customers. The time line too was short-from initial product to new product-so it think it should have been a free upgrade. The goodwill would have made up for earlier frustrations. Instead I was disappointed and leary of buying another product from you that might have problems. I have chosen not to purchase the third product for this reason.
Now for the positive. I like your honesty. I like your story about starting from nothing but a dream and hard work and attending conferences to make connections and make it happen. For this reason, I still open and read your emails-unlike other marketers who’ve I’ve deleted. I also like your sales approach. No hype, no pressure, no scarcity plays with pricing and time. What I really hate is when IM marketers spam their list for every product launch. There is no quicker way to get removed from my email list. For me this is huge. So, even though I’m unhappy about the product I purchased for the reasons I’ve mentioned, I still consider you one of the “good guys” of internet marketing. This pool of “good guys” is pretty small.
So, keep up the positive attitude and positive growth. Maybe someday we will meet in person.
I signed up and received your software and believe I am enrolled in a monthly subscription but I am afraid I have not put either the software or the membership to work effectively. Although I have used the Spin Wizard and sent out one or two articles, I have somehow lost momentum and am not sure where to go next.
I think the product is good but can’t not find guidelines to follow to keep moving forward.
Jim, this isn’t the time or place, however, I’ll answer your questions:
1. Simple: put out articles.
2. Google Analytics
Wow John, thanks for being so honest. I’ve discussed your issues previously, but will address them again:
1. Traffic Magnet is NOT the 3rd version of the automator.
2. We put in 6 months of nonstop development into making it into an Adobe Air software that works on PCs and Macs (only 2 other “IM” companies use Air).
3. We completely redid the product and turned it into something different.
4. I offered a lifetime $10 per month discount to Revolution owners for Traffic Magnet.
5. A full year went by between the last Revolution promotion and the release of Traffic Magnet, I don’t feel that was an unfair amount of time.
6. There was not a single promise of updates for Revolution in the sales copy. I gave the first update for free because it was the right thing to do. Traffic Magnet is FAR more than an update of the Revolution.
7. The Revolution still works, just not as intended. We designed it to be usable forever. You can add in sites and still use the software to this day.
As far as your positive comments, I appreciate them.
While I definitely requested input, you do know that I have a support desk, right?
There are directions right inside the software and nearly 4 hours of video in the members’ area. Have you taken a look at those?
Paying $37 to “send out one or two articles” is kind of silly. You’re supposed to use ALL aspects of the software to get results. You can find an article submitter for a onetime fee of $50.
If you aren’t going to use the software the right way, you should probably cancel.

Ross…I discovered you not too long ago and I’m VERY happy I did! Getting to talk to you is like the equivalent of winning a lifetime supply of red cherry bubble and blue bunny fudgecycles!! I’m an accomplished an astute marketer in my own right (at least in my head), but your skills go beyond mine and I’m very glad to have you in my “marketers rolodex”.
My main complaint (with other marketers) is their blatant lack of customer service…To me this is a BIG pet peeve! When I have a question, or a concern and I’m considering spending $1,000s or even more, I feel I expect some courtesy, and I expect some phone time…HOWEVER, with 98% of these guys out there, this is not a reality, but with YOU it is!
All I get elsewhere is having to fill out a support ticket for the “privelege” of MAYBE getting an answer back in 3 weeks ….IF ever!!!!!

I’ve spoken on the phone to you twice now and I really appreciate your time! Why more people can’t figure out that the phone is their friend is beyond me! I suspect that many of these marketers OUTSOURCE 97% of the very stuff they pitch so they couldn’t answer a simple question without looking stupid.
Next, they probably have the personality of a GIANT green bullfrog waiting to suck in his next fly! So Ross, so far my dealings with you have been awesome and I cannot wait till I get to hire you as one of my main “go to guys” for SEO and who knows what else.

I make myself accessible in a limited manner for a few reasons. I hate it when I can’t get something to work and don’t want others to experience that frustration. I also gain insight into everything from my sales processes to the quality of the directions I give due to conversations with my customers. I do have a barrier up to keep my time focused on my business, but that barrier is the fact that I have a short attention span and won’t spend hours on the phone with someone. I value my own time and expect others to do the same.
I don’t know why I’m so different in that respect, but I don’t plan on changing it. Ever.
Ross I phoned you last year to ask about Net Marketing Revolution software and was suprised that I got you the first try. You were very easy to talk to and very knowlegdable. It was like having a coffee with you. I felt comfortable even though you are a little rough around the edges but very honest and definitely a no BS kind of guy!
I have talked with you on the phone a few more times since then and you give excellent customer service and good advice.
The thing I like most is that you have a true home based business. When I phone, your kids might be making noise in the background and your wife may be asking what you need at the store.
That is the American Dream, being able to be your own boss, make lots of money and spend time with your family at home. Plus you help others unselfishly without trying to sell them the next great thing!
P.S I didn’t write this just to get the prize as I already have most of your stuff. I just wanted to let you know you are one of the good guys out there.

I bought your Traffic Revolution package, and the Trinity… wow – it was a huge eye opener! I sat through all of the videos and took about 50 pages of notes on your SEO ideas/concepts. I’m about to apply them all to a site that I’ve had running for over 10 years online.
You see I made a really dumb decision many years ago when I heard someone say, what do you do about SEO – ‘nothing’, because you can’t figure it out, and nothing matters anyway – I listened to that crazy comment… now I sit here years later with traffic dropping, and I’m relying on you – Ross – to inspire me and keep my eye on the SEO prize, which is what I should have done all these years… even if it was 30 minutes a day… Ross’s concepts are straight up – and they are ‘step-by-step’, you cannot go wrong with what he says – so listen up!

I am really amaze and touch by your courage, faith and hope to completely change your life around. You had really portrayed that great faith and courage of yours by overcoming all the adversities in your life. You reminds me of a friend who had the same background and story as you but he end up having a drastically different ending.
I remember when i first came across your web site through a Warrior Forum post, it was on a product call “Revolution Automator” (if i remember it correctly). That time i was thinking, who the heck was this guy but i still continue to read through the sales page and bam, i saw the word “semi automatic submission” to all the various content websites and i give up reading the rest of the sales letter. I am wondering to myself how on earth would someone use a semi automatic tool to submit their content to hundreds of websites! If one website take 2 minutes, then 100 sites would be 200 minutes, gosh that is going to be real tedious and boring! I had purchased a lot of automatic submission softwares in the past before but frankly, there are always a lot of major hiccups during the submission process. Sometimes the directories are updated to prevent automated submission, sometimes the login form format changed, sometimes the submission field layout changed, what i am trying to say is that a slight changes to the directory means you will take up extra time finding the root of the error and fixing it up. Talk about the headache of going through the error log file alone is enough to turn any marketer off.
A few weeks ago, i discovered your new Traffic Magnet software (if i did not remember wrongly, it was from one of the Warrior Forum post again). I admit i was skeptical at first but after going through the various videos that you had sent, i joined with a leap of faith and i fall in love with it straight away! It is so user friendly and the best thing is submission suddenly becomes error free! Now i totally understood what you mean by fully automated submission software sucks in general. I had spent so much money on fully automated softwares, completely led blindly by the concept of “fully automated”, end up having wasted so much time and effort, worse still, having to pick myself up again from another fail attempt. Glad i am still in the “game”! =D

Ross, I like your no nonsense approach.. I am just dipping my toes in the water with Traffic Magnet..but if anything else you have taught me to organize my efforts. My website has moved from around 59 to around 22 for my keyword and I am finally spinning my next article and expect to be top 5 in the next few weeks!

Why is your advice so different to everybody else?
You don’t EVER say anything like this.
‘You can make money while living on a mountain with no internet, by walking six miles each day to the closest internet cafe to check your Clickbank account grow by thousands of dollars each week. You speak no english and you spend about 5 minutes every three days setting up your website.
Is that extreme? Beleive me I’ve actually heard that story.
You say “All the Gurus have worked dam hard, consisitantly over years to get where they are.”
you say “It takes hard work, persistance and time. there is no “magic button”
People can talk to you as a real person who is doing this business without a huge team doing all the work for him, and that’s what most of us want to do too.

I have been a Ross Goldberg fan for quite some time now. From Traffic Manifesto to Traffic Magnet, your products are always top notch.
The one thing that you do, that not many other teachers do, is you tell people that this is WORK. It is so true. I always say if you treat your business as a hobby, you’ll make hobby money (not much).
If people listen to you and learn from someone who is doing it, has been doing it, and has succeeded and is continuing to succeed, then they will be in a better place.
The one thing, above all else that affected my life was your Masters Seminar in Chicago. I met many entrepreneurs in Chicagoland who, like me, are making money online or want to make money online.
From your seminar we created a mastermind group. From that mastermind group we really advanced our businesses. I myself hired a full time VA.
The main thing we did was launch Internet Marketer Magazine. It is definitely something needed in the industry.
Without you and your seminar and your down to earth and very approachable demeanor, it may not have happened. Your event was the best I have attended. It’s the way you bring us all together and give us the opportunity to meet, greet, and have access to not just other attendees, but to all the speakers and yourself.
I truly thank you for all you’ve done for me and for what you’ve done for the whole industry. You are one of the true pillars of Internet Marketing

the choosing url topic is equally refreshing if not important… i’ve never read about checking archive.org before registering for domain name… just one word… brilliant! this alone can save us the heartache of being blacklisted by search engine(even before you start your website)
in conclusion, there are many gems found in your SEO Diamond… mind, if there are so many gems found in your free stuff, the paid one surely has to be massive… and i found the SEO Diamond is a good read everytime you want to start a new website… as you promised, the language used is plain english and non-technical, so easy to understand

i love the 50social.pdf even though some of them are outdated, especially the graphics and designs section.. useful for people with non-artist like me
ross, i got a question on domain name… i want to register a domain name which should have an apostrophe for correct grammar… for example my son’s friend… i guess the best way is to register both, mysonsfriend.com and mysonfriend.com, am i right? but which one should i use as the main website and which one should i use for parking?
by the way, i am thinking about starting an affiliate-based website… but as you know, to get a good search engine ranking on such site is extremely hard… i am aware i can write fresh contents to overcome the duplicate content issue… but you can be an expert only in one or two niches, not more than that… futhermore, i am tired of living based on search engine traffics, it is scary and inconsistent… too much stress to depend you living on as you could lose your income overnight… what is your suggestion? i’ve been in affilite-based website for years and not sure what to do next… what alternative i’ve?

Well first of all looks like I’m not the only one who has experienced EXCELLENT Customer Services, seems you DO MAKE A HABIT OF IT!
I’ve already emailed you and expressed my gratitude for your service and speedy responses, there needs too be more Guru’s out there that care as much as you care.
Oh and I’m sure you are a loving, caring father and husband too as it shows in the way you treat your “fans and clients”.

I first got too know you about 30 days before I canceled my stompernet subscription. My concern was that I wasn’t going to be able to use the SEOQast which was one of the tools that I was anxious too use. I consider myself to be an experienced Internet marketer. I’ve been around the Internet for a good amount of time and learned from so many of the top marketers out there.
I came across Ross a few months ago on the Internet. Here is what impressed me the most… I purchased his product, Traffic Magnet, on a Saturday night. I had a minor issue with the software and e mailed support. I don’t think it was even 5 minutes later that I heard from Ross and he took care of that issue right away for me.
Now from my experience with dealing with other product owners, not only do I always have to wait 24,48, or more hours to hear a response back from a ticket but I NEVER heard back from the owner of the product on a weekend night so quickly before.
This was no coincidence. Ross and his company take customer service extremely important and answer a ticket with lightning speed.
Being that I have been around Ross for a decent amount of time now, I want to say how real he is and so much different from all the other “so called gurus” out there. He goes above and beyond for all his customers.

Just watching the posts here and may have the answer for you Ross.Thanks to you, I’ve become highly skilled in SEO and internet marketing. I’m still searching for my ‘place’ in it all, but the results I’m getting speak for themselves.
Scott – the key to doing either of those is to understand the needs and wants of your prospects. If you do that right, it’s easy to set up resource boxes and attractive bios.
