I have been using Web 2.0 to deliver traffic to my affiliate programs by writing blogs, and allowing comments on these blogs.

I also have several Squidoo Lenses that are updated each time I broadcast on my Autoresponder, which keeps the content fresh for the search engine spiders.

    Keep up the great work!

I am very interested in mastering web 2.0 and social bookmarking. This is one of my major goals over the next few months. Just recently I have been using only wire and a few other services with some immediate success.

My issue with all of the great traffic tactics like social bookmarking is the time commitment. I Do like onlywire and I have seem some immediate results.

I would like to also better understand how to get trackbacks and more backlinks to my sites.

Also I would like to learn how to set up a social bookmarking site as I believe there is looks of opportunity to gain huge traffic this way…

Thanks Ross for all you have helped me with up to this point..

My opinion is that Web 2.0 is a proof to demonstrate
the Internet change. And it’s not ONLY about concepts
and marketing tactics but , in fact, a way to make a major
change in the human behaviour online. I think about
it as something without limits and I am in the attempt
of a new great challenge ,soon.

    Well Ross,

I am looking forward to seeing how much else you can show me. The products of yours that I have already have shown me how to get things rolling.

Today was a perfect example. I posted this am on my blog about a new product I launched this am and because of the techniques I have learned from you that post was #1 on Google within two hours for the product name.

Anything you have to teach in this area I want to know as it expands my reach exponentially.

Getting more familiar with the concept of web 2.0 and the “social” aspects of web building. In the past i have been focused on adsense sites and have seen a drop in my earnings. So it is time to see what opportunities are avaialble on the white hat side of site building.

I look forward to your product as a means to be sure that I have adequately planned and secured the proper tools to maximize my use of Social Bookmarking, Social Networking, Audios, Videos and other formats to develop a massive body of work.

I have been successful to this point in using MySpace to build “social proof” and drive traffic to both websites and product launches.

I need to pay closer attention to blogging, beyond the Myspace Blog and seek wider distribution of multipurposed products.

To your continued growth and success, Ross. You’re providing a fantastic platform for people, not only from the Midwest, but all over to learn and profit from those you have assembled to appear in Madison on July 14th and 15th. http://www.midwestimseminars.com/

Been using web 2.0 since December of last year when I took the step into creating an Internet presence.

Developing at Ning, Squidoo, ODEO and several blogs so far. Just set up Google Reader to exploit RSS feeds and am working on marketing and Legend Platform branding with Ben Mack.

My biggest question is how can a web novice best leverage web 2.0 platforms and applications?

Second biggest question is how can we sort out the potential for profitable results from all the web 2.0 conversation going on?

Thanks Ross for your information and as Micheal said, keep up the great work!

Web 2.0 Traffic? When it comes right down to it I know just enough to be so confused I really don’t know where to start.

I have read a bit about social bookmarking and Squidoo.

I have a blog started. But to date I have yet to do much with it other then do some posting of articles I have written.

My real challenge is being able to leverage my time between learning about the new techniques and putting what I understand to good and productive use.

Ross, I heard an inteview you did about a month ago about web 2.0, to be honest I did not have a clue to what it was. Maybe, I was blinded because I thougt it was another passing internet fad.

I’m probably do about 5 searches for Ross Goldberg each day, just to find more about this web 2.0. It just the fact that you share so much and you make it clear.

I’m still trying to learn about using rss feeds, social bookmarking and more. What I like most about you and your information, you don’t pitch products.

I have since made 4 videos, I have taken the affiliate products off my adsense sites, based on one of your interviews. I’m just a guy who is trying to quit my job, work at home and help others along the way.

I can do the work, just need someone to point me in the right direction.

Well, anyway Win, Lose or Draw, I’ll be at the “Midwest Internet Marketing Seminar” because your information is rock solid. By the way, I’m the guy who purchased the first ticket.

Look forward to more great information from you,

One of the fundamental challenges that we all face in our online business endeavours is gaining knowledge quickly.
Another is sufficiently understanding gained knowledge so that it can be applied in our day to day thinking and holistic approach to our marketing efforts, especially in generating masses of targeted traffic.
Presently there is a confused mess of information, not all of which is necessarily reliable, about Web2 marketing concepts.
It will be interesting to see Ross Goldberg’s new Web2 Internet Marketing Product, which promises a Category 5 Hurricane of Laser Targeted Web2 Traffic. I am certain, in view of his reputation, that it will be of immense importance to online business, regardless of whether its a “work at home” opportunity, an affiliate marketer, niche marketer or other substantial enterprise.

I have a my place and squidoo site and a freeIQ but still can’t figure out how to make them work in getting more traffic on my main website. I admit. Web 2.0 makes me feel old. This is quite distressing to me since I’m only in my 20’s and was building my first websites as a teenager.

I have a couple of squidoo lenses. I’ve done some social bookmarking with them which helps with an initial surge but I usually can’t keep that level of traffic. Do I have to rewrite my lens every day? I’m confused because it seems like some of the top sites in google haven’t been updated since the ’90s.

I created a myspace profile for my husband’s pen name, but then I handed it over to him. It was too confusing. I’m sure he can make some decent contacts on there without being spammy, but should he just start adding friends or joining groups?

Today we’re planning on working on videos. We don’t have a video camera, so we’re planning on throwing something together using Visual Communicator and Camstudio. We’re planning on adding one to his sales page. I also want to experiment with Youtube. Should I upload the same video I use on the sales page, or should I try to make the sales page one salesy and the Youtube one cool and virally.

Truthfully, I view Web 2.0 techniques as something I should do, not something I want to do. I enjoy learning, but I don’t enjoy being overwhelmed, which is where 2.0 leaves me. I want to learn Web 2.0 so I can enjoy these aspects of internet marketing.

The biggest challenge I’ve seen with Web 2.0 marketing is staying on top of the newest sites that pop up and how to leverage them into an “integrated marketing strategy” to drive the most traffic… Some sites such as MySpace are no brainers but how do the others fit into the whole equation? I’m really looking forward to seeing the “overall picture” as only you know how to paint it.

Well to start off with, I had some “special” reports that told me about web 2.0 and gave some ideas about what to do. I really did not know where to begin. Going from bookmarking site to bookmarking just site bookmarking MY website is boring and time consuming. But that is what most web 2.0 gurus seem to preach. I want something different and more powerful and uses less time.

I’m looking for Leverage. I started using Onlywire, and I finally started saving time submitting links. (Used to do it manually).

I have a myspace page and a couple of squidoo lenses, but Im not sure what to do as I have many ways to do marketing on those sites. As far as video goes I see the power potential in this! So regarding videos, I can either guess what to do or find out someones secret with it who has been success with youtube. But I can see video being a traffic monster.

What I need to find are ways to get targeted traffic, people who are interested in what I have to offer and I need to get the most amount of traffic possible. Even better I’d like to see this all clearly explained and no holding back (which some gurus are doing).

I do understand what Web2.0 is and it’s a great development in people regaining power from the corporates. What’s more it gives Internet merkaters an opportunities galore to reach markets, in particular the niches along the long tail.

I have several Blogs, a MySpace presence, a lens and am poised to launch a brand new website this coming week.

I’ve been writing and creating eBooks, courses and other materials combining my experience and skills in NLP, persuasion, marketing and as a master magician. Hey Ross.

I’m somewhat a beginner when it comes to Web 2.0. My biggest question is automation! How in the world can I automate all of the little tasks that it takes ‘after’ you create your blog posts?

I mean I know to create a Squidoo page, blog on MySpace, Rss Feeds, and to do some Social Bookmarking…

but how in the world can i streamline most of it where I can be more effective in other areas?

I’m confused cause I’ve asked several people around about automation but most people that I ask don’t know exactly how to automate it. I know you can use onlywire, but that is not submitting it to all the Social Bookmarking services.

I also haven’t really seen a complete concise step by step web 2.0 guide that shows you ALL the aspects of web 2.0. Most reports or courses are on different topics, like blogging, video, etc etc.

I really look forward to your the Hurricane. You’re products that I’ve purchased are solid!

Thanks and good luck with this launch!

From what I’ve been reading Web 2.0 is a constantly morphing, amorphous creature and the only way to actually contain it is to create a massive database of information that is updated constantly (a la Wikipedia). 1. I’m going to use live video broadcast (from my living room) to release my DVD in next 2 weeks.

    2. I’m using live video feed during my event in Hollywood where I’ll be dropped with nothing and have 120 days to make movie from scratch and raise $100,000 for 10 small charities.

The problem is that I am not a good communicator and can’t spend hours learning lenses, spaces and such thing. I have only made $20 more or less and spend a heck of a lot more.

    Hi Ross,

The evolution of Web 2.0 is outta control! I recently watched a video that laid down some serious stats about where we are and where we’re going. Here’s the link to the video I recommend ALL readers watch: http://www.glumbert.com/media/shift

It’s called “Shift Happens”, and to be honest, I felt primarily two emotions as I watched it - excitement and fear.

Why those two emotions? Well, when you truly understand the meaning of the word “exponential” the way the video lays it out - and NOT in the way it’s misused and overused in web copy - you may experience the same feelings as I did.

I mean, it’s uncharted territory where we’re going. And we’re speeding to that “destiny” at a rate unprecedented in all of human history.

Excerpt from the film (paraphrased): “By the time a student gets halfway through a four-year course of study in a high-tech field, the material they learned during the previous two years will be obsolete.”

Now if that doesn’t give you cause for pause, I don’t know what will…

So, yes, Web 2.0 both scares and excites me. Don’t get me wrong, the fear won’t paralyze me into inaction. It’s just the normal human tendency to fear what we don’t know or understand. That, and watching too many movies like The Terminator series, The Matrix series, I Robot, etc. (

  38. Ruth Ritchie Says:
    May 27th, 2007 at 12:00 pm

Can I answer all of the above? Just the sheer amount of web 2.0 sites and information confuses me by contributing to my already over-developed information overload. What sites to use, how to use them to get the best results, and how to do this without spending my whole day just on driving traffic.

I’ve heard of people who can get a #1 search engine ranking in just hours using web 2.0 techniques, but I’ve never quite learned how to do that for myself, so that would be one thing I would very much like to master.

So far I know how to build squidoo lenses and can get them fairly high in google rankings after a week or two. (I think it’s luck because I have no idea how I’m doing it!) And I use OnlyWire for social bookmarking. Oh, and wordpress for most of my sites… I’ve been a big blogging and rss fan for years.

But other than that, I just know there’s a whole other world out there that I want to learn about, and need to learn about. It’s like a burning desire to explore and expand my knowledge, and maybe even conquer all there is in the new world of web 2.0. So where do I start?

Thanks for all that you do!
My best to you and yours, and good luck on your launch,

    Ruth Ritchie

web2.0 is one of those “new horizons” for me - and it sure feels like the wild, wild west. “Thar’s gold out thar!”…but where? And what are the essential tools that I need? And where’s the most gold?

Lots of people offering us marketing pioneers a whole bunch of pick axes and sand pans … but I can’t use ‘em all, and I can’t afford ‘em all … I wish I had a map with “X” marks the spot, and a good mule and a veteran prospector to lead the way.

    Hi Ross,

Web 2.0 has certainly been a challenge for me!

My first challenge was to figure out which social/bookmarking sites are most relevant to my target market. I am wanting to reach women 40+ (baby boomers) and so many of the sites seem to be more relevant to younger people. I have now found a number of appropriate social/bookmarking sites but I don’t want to miss some of the others that may be changing with respect to the age groups represented.

At first MySpace seemed to be a waste of time. But I now see that there are more older people involved than I had originally thought. How do I get it set up so that my home page looks nicer and how do I go about finding the people I want to reach without it taking all of my time?

I have now joined many different social sites including Squidoo, Eons, 43 Things, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, MySpace, Newsvine and more…Yikes! How on earth can I keep up with all of these? Plus I have 4 blogs and other websites to maintain. I need to figure out how to prioritize what I am doing and be more organized (have a plan!) Is there a secret to getting the traffic to start flowing without me having to work 24/7?

Also, I write articles and submit to article directories. I am looking at creating videos and/or podcasts as well. Do you have thoughts about which would be a better use of my time? Again, I can’t do it all, on the other hand keeping up with article writing and then occasionally stopping to create a video or two might make sense and reach more people more quickly. Your thoughts? (I do have Only Submitter - Thank you!! I just need to find the time to start putting it to good use.)

I could keep going…if you want more questions, I’m sure I could help out!

Ross I am looking forward to your new product. So far your products have been great. I never quite understand the right way to tag for the social bookmarking sites. I believe the future is in web 2.0 and I am trying my best to get ahead of the curve. Great picture at the bottom of your site by the way.

How on Earth though do I pick and choose on which I should focus? I want to do it all and get that maximum impact and results.

Give me a centralized, easy to understand and implement solution and I will be in heaven!

Web 2.0 seems new but I dont think it is really, its just taking everthing over now, I am not sure of every aspect of web 2.0 except for social bookmarking which I am using, but using somewhat nervesly . The reason I say this is what is right and what is wrong according to The big G?

How many bookmarks can you put on a site or post before it gets spammy?

I know for a fact I am considering giving up my hosted domains, because Im tired of waiting to get indexed, when I can go to squidoo and write the same content and bookmark it and be in usually the top 10 search results within 48 hrs, and Its free.

But is it going to last, and if so which sites, because they are going to be hit hard by marketers.

    Just my 2.0 cents

All these Web2.0 traffic tactics sound great, and seem to work pretty well too. But trying to co-ordinate a system that incorporates blogging, squidoo, social bookmarking, article submissions, podcasting, rss submissions, forum submissions, web directory submissions, stumble upon submissions as well as proper on page seo, is turning out to be an overwhelming task, particularly when you are trying to do it for multiple sites.

It would be a great help if all the necessary tasks to implement an effective Web2.0 traffic system were laid out in an easy to follow step by step system.

At the moment I think that in trying to implement all the various Web2.0 methods across all my sites, that I’m not really doing any of them “properly”, and the end result is that I’m barely scratching the surface in terms of the traffic I could be generating.

What I’d give to have “an easy to follow step by step system” to follow that laid out a plan for say, 30, 60 or 90 days!

    Hey Ross,
I think there are a lot of hypey Web 2.0 products out there, and they consist of nothing more than spamming craigslist or Digg.

Having bought some of them, they’ve left a bad taste in my mouth, and don’t deliver on their promises.

It is difficult to find something solid that will deliver on it’s promises.

Having already seen your Traffic Masters product and the quality of information you provide, I’m sure your Web 2.0 Traffic Hurricane will certainly be something to look out for.

I’m looking for something great from you, Mr Goldberg!

    Hello Ross,

You asked,”Are you special?” I most certainly am.

What sets me apart from most are the following: I have the desire. Second, I have the belief. I have determined that I need your help/teachings to achieve my #1 goal. I am approaching my deadline, that’s why I am expressing such URGENCY. Next, I have identified the obstacles I need to overcome, once again, your knowledge/ and sharing of this knowledge helps me get one step closer to achieving my #1 goal. I have the determination, persistence and resolved to never give up. I know what I want to accomplish unlike so many people. Ultimately, I am moving towards my peak performance and the full realization of my potential.
I know “a little” about Web 2.0. For the past year and a half, I have been studying and learning all I can about SEO/SEM because I want to become an EXPERT in this field. I took a course in Affiliate Marketing where I was helping an Affiliate Manager with a variety of techniques and strategies to help Affiliates promote a specific product. In my studies and research, I came across “social bookmarking” in which I asked this Affiliate Manager if he knew anything about it, because I knew this would be a great tool to train your affiliates that would in return generate more traffic= more revenue. His response to my question was that he had never heard of it. I started to see that this Affiliate Manager was not open to learning new things.I am currently learning how to make videos. I want to try to audition for Joel Comm’s Next Internet Millionaire. Hopefully, I will have it downloaded on YouTube in the next day or two. Your products have helped me tremendously in reaching my goals. I would love the opportunity to learn more from you, especially new techinques/strategies that have never been seen yet. I love to learn, am a fast learner, therefore I know I would your best student for your new product “A Category 5 Hurricane of Laser Targeted Web 2.0 Traffic.” I have remained focused on learning and mastering only one thing, SEO/SEM until I achieve the results I am striving towards. I use to buy everything that promised Instant Success. I was just more confused than ever. I had information overload. I learned from attending an Internet Marketing Seminar that you need to stay “focused” on only ONE thing. I know only concentrate single-mindedly on one thing at a time, and do it until it is finished. It will be refreshing to learn something new that I know NOTHING about. I know that learning from you will be the greatest BENEFIT of all. I’ve learned early on, “Learn from ONLY the BEST, that is where you come in.”

Thank you for this opportunity to learn Web 2.0 from you. I have been able to learn so much from you already and the greatest feeling of all, is that I am able to apply what you teach immediately, not have to figure out the rest of the puzzle pieces.

    Keep up the great work!

    I know nothing about Web 2.0 but…………
I will be waiting with the rest of the hoard for your product

Will it be the tool that suddenly brings clarity to my murkey IM career?

Will it be the lightning bolt that suddenly makes the rest of my crazy world energized, and the gold coin come raining out of the heavens in the aftermath of the thunderous response of the masses?

    We will see.

I do know you are a generous and concise person and we will all learn something.

I have been doing a whole lot of research and have tried many things in the web 2.0 world, but, I am very much a novice in the online world.

I have several blogs, many Squidoo lenses (they were a fun activity), and I have my own social network. My problem is that I am doing this all on my own, and I know that I need to step up my game and include more audio, video, and include social bookmarking to what I am doing. Here in lies the real problem….my niche is one that is not recognized by any bookmarking sites (that I have seen so far) and my whole niche area is not one that understands how to use this technology to their benefit, especially for the small business or personal websites. I want to not only benefit myself, but allow for others in the same situation to benefit from social bookmarking. I know that most of the small companies that are doing business online in my niche are html sites and not blogs, they are just catching wind of this and how it will be in their best interest. I have yet to make money online, I have spent quite a bit, but, I really need to step things up and include all the areas that I have not been so good at, and get a better grasp on how to profit from my ventures.

Web 2.0. At the beginning of this year I had no idea what “Web 2.0″ was. Now it’s may and I have more social bookmarking profiles than I can keep track of. While signing up with Myspace, Squidoo, MyblogLog, or any of the other social Web 2.0 sites is easy, using them to effectively bring targeted free traffic to your website can be tricky. I’ve purchased a Myspace guide or two, maybe a Squidoo guide…but yes you are right, there is nothing out there that is an all encompassing “Web 2.0 Bible” of sorts to teach us how it all works from a business/traffic perspective.

I ‘d like to learn how to not just get traffic, but traffic that is targeted and will stick. It’s the popular challenge today to get to page 1 of Digg and watch your server logs fill up. But that is so temporary…most of those users will never come back to your site.

Looking forward to your Web 2.0 Hurricane System and how to more effectively use the ever growing social communities to get more people to my blog. Thanks.

I just started my new blog a few months ago on web 2.0 basis.

Some communities are very good and easy to use. Some are more specific and does not help getting traffic to my blog.

Web 2.0 Marketing? Of course, it is the correct solution for bloggers.

Every time I write my article, just by pushing the ‘public’ button one large list of services will automatically be pinged/notified, and my post is readable in seconds.

I’m very interested, how your new Web 2.0 Traffic Hurricane will help us to get more traffic.

    Keep on work!

    Hi Ross,

I’ll be honest, I need to learn it all! The problem I’ve had with Web 2.0 Marketing is understanding the sequence of implementation of all the elements which make up Web 2.0 Marketing.

I have created a social community for outdoor enthusiasts, and intend to use it as a marketing tool by using the advertising space to promote my own offers, mixed in with affiliate programs, etc.

I still need to learn everything from the beginning. I think it is important to implement the steps in an orderly fashion, and I have been exposed to most of the elements necessary in a largely random fashion. That has led to nothing but high level confusion, as to misstep at this point would be potentially disastrous to my marketing strategy.

A step-by-step implementation plan would greatly increase my potential for success. Being shown details of each step by someone who has much experience in building such marketing strategies would be very beneficial.

To form some type of an organized plan would remove most of the anxiety involved in deciding on a comprehensive plan to follow to enable the highest likelyhood of success.

As I feel I am somewhat representative of a large group of newbies to the new era of Web 2.0 Marketing, I would be a good candidate to test the effectiveness of this Web 2.0 Hurricane System.

I will totally commit to thorough implementation of the strategies included in the System, so that quality feedback would be generated by the results achieved.

Thanks Ross for stepping up with a System to ensure success.

I’ve been putting together a new web site on Web 2.0 and SEO tactics for free traffic generation and it is quite complex the way the whole interactive notion of social validation works. In my ebook, I’ve taken a new tactic of allowing all the people who read the book to actually add their comments to the book. So it is like a blog but every page of the site has this functionality, not just the text pages that look like articles. I am curious to see what you can do.
