5 Things You Can Do To Piss Off Your Friends on Facebook

Recently, I started doing a daily video blog. This video got the most responses from people, so I thought I’d bring it over here.

I’ve taken a week off from the video blog due to some health issues (I have a consultation for surgery this afternoon). I’m looking forward to getting back to my daily videos. You can see them by liking my fan page here.

When I began working on my new Facebook training program, I thought about how many people I see making fools of themselves when attempting to market their business. I stopped laughing and realized that it’s simple ignorance. Social Marketing is not the “in your face” direct marketing that most people are used to. Ads don’t work on social websites.

Marketing on Facebook is a delicate art that has to be done right from the start, otherwise you simply can’t get results.

So, instead of charging the $97 I was planning on charging, I cut the price by about 80% and will be raising it by $10 for every 200 sales. This is something people really need to use and I want to make it readily available to as many people as possible. Check out my Marketing on Facebook program, you won’t regret it.

To your success,
Ross Goldberg

  1. Ross,

Love the video! You crack me up! And I totally agree with you on all of those.. the only thing I post on my business Facebook account is my new blog posts that are semi-promotional but mostly informative. I hate all those damn app requests – soooo annoying!

Thanks again for another great video.. entertaining and educational!

    You rock!

  2. My next blog post is going to be about why I dumped 1,000 friends and keep cutting a few out every day.

If you thought this video was good, just wait. ;)

    Ross,
Just check your page yesterday.Seems to me that social media will start changing a bit.

    All the best,

    Leo

    Ross, great video.
Thanks to your tips, I’m also cleaning up my list.

Hey is that a link for senuke i see on your site? Isn’t that in competition to your link building software?

  5. Paul says:

Yup, all that stuff, it’s just annoying. The game requests annoy me but I gues soem people enjoy that. But the tagging really annoys the %#@*& out of me.

  6. Stew Kelly says:

Amen Ross, Facebook is getting really kooky. You forgot all those “friend” invites to seminars you wouldn’t want to attend in real life.

I’m not sure, but I think Tony Robbins said something to this effect “If your best friends are the people you know on Facebook, you’re pathetic”.

Hope your surgical consult turns out well and things aren’t as bad as first diagnosed.

  7. Justin Hudman says:

I totally agree with you on these 5 things Ross. Look forward to seeing your next video.

  8. Direct and to the point, as always. Hey, there are reminders for all of us, for when we get on an emotional bandwagon some of our friends would rather not know about.

Thanks for the reminders, Ross, and for being my friend!

P.S. – I tweeted this post and “liked” it, but when I went to share on Facebook, the app permission screen wouldn’t slide up far enough to press “allow” … a Facebook or Firefox glitch I’ve had before… So I’ll just do it directly! :)

  9. Ross, I’m 100% with you, except on the political issue. (Of course, we may actually agree.) I don’t ever send out posts re: politics, except to my friends who have a like interest. I belong to groups that are warm and welcoming but we keep all discussions of religion and politics OUT!
I’m going to choose to think that you prefer NOT to be involved in political issues and I can respect that boundary but there are many people who choose to discuss these hot issues on Facebook. Do you have a problem with those discussion groups?
    Your friend,
    Brennan

  10. Jim Donovan says:

Great message bro. How is it so many people miss the word “social” in social media. I’m with you on the fake tags. Religion and politics I can ignore but I have to go and un-tag. Now you’re losing me.

  11. Yes Jason, you see SENuke in my sidebar. People want total automation, my software doesn’t do that. For total automation, nothing beats SENuke.

  12. Eric Rosen says:

Well said bro and I could not of said it any better! Now , I have to take some motion sickness med from watching the video… lol..

    Good stuff as always bro!

  13. Sorry… Will try not to spin around in future ones. :)

  14. Karen Marrow says:

    Ross,

This is funny and I totally agree with most of what you are saying here. Great video!
